OpsLab Awarded First U.S. Navy Contract
Company’s marquee product, SkySchedule, will support F-18 squadron at Naval Air Station Oceana
AUSTIN, Texas -- OpsLab, the OS for Air Power, announced today that it has been awarded its first contract from the U.S. Navy. Under the terms of the contract, OpsLab will deploy its marquee automated flight operations platform, SkySchedule, to naval aviators supporting the world’s largest F/A-18E/F squadron at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The award marks a significant milestone for OpsLab, representing the company’s first official expansion beyond the U.S. Air Force - where SkySchedule is currently deployed across more than 70 squadrons - and into a new branch of the U.S. military. Navy end users at NAS Oceana will join the already 3,000+ warfighters across the Department of War who rely on OpsLab’s software to plan, execute, and optimize daily flight operations.
SkySchedule leverages operations research and artificial intelligence to eliminate the guesswork from squadron operations by automatically generating forward-looking flight schedules, instantly adapting to disruptions, predicting critical resource deficits, and streamlining logistics. The platform has been proven to save more than 200 aircrew hours per squadron per month, directly improving mission readiness and operational effectiveness.
